How long is an EMDR therapy session?

Most EMDR sessions last between 50 to 90 minutes, allowing time for grounding, processing, and settling before you finish. Some therapists offer longer sessions to accommodate deeper work, especially when accessing complex material. The length can be tailored to your needs and comfort level, ensuring therapy feels structured rather than rushed. Regardless of duration, each session prioritises emotional safety and stability, helping you work effectively while staying grounded.
