Meet Dasha

Registered Clinical Counsellor

Hello, I’m Dasha, a registered clinical counsellor passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, reconnect with their true selves, and develop self-compassion. Both my personal and professional experiences have shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to counselling.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in the corporate sector and experienced burnout, which led me to seek therapy. This transformative experience inspired me to pursue a counselling degree to support others on their own healing journeys.

I deeply understand the complexities of life’s challenges, including trauma, personal loss, and navigating change. Drawing on extensive training in trauma-informed care, I use approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based therapy and somatic interventions. These methods empower clients to heal their past, tap into their inner strength and create a balanced, fulfilling life.

As a cross-cultural counsellor, fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, and English, I bring a unique perspective to my work. My diverse life experiences, living and travelling across multiple countries, allow me to deeply understand and connect with clients from various backgrounds. I provide a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all cultures, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and life experiences.

In my counselling career, I have worked extensively in government-funded and not-for-profit community organisations, as well as private hospitals, providing support to adult survivors of domestic and family violence, sexual abuse, complex trauma, and adverse childhood experiences.

My commitment extends beyond individual sessions. I run therapeutic women’s circles and retreats that foster community, resilience, and empowerment. These spaces provide a supportive environment where clients can engage in meaningful conversations, gain insights, and share their experiences, creating a foundation for lasting growth.

Having personally experienced loss and healing through the challenges brought about by the Russian full-scale war in Ukraine, I am deeply committed to supporting those who have faced adversity and trauma.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), adhering to the PACFA Code of Ethics. As part of my dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care, I actively engage in ongoing supervision and professional development. Additionally, I am a Victims Services Approved Counsellor under the NSW Victims Support Scheme.

I offer online sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as in-person appointments on Wednesdays in a beautiful room in Bondi Junction, Sydney. To help you decide if we’re the right fit, I invite you to book a free 20-minute consultation. Together, we can explore your needs and begin creating a path towards a more balanced, fulfilled, and empowered life.

Your journey of healing and self-discovery begins here.
